Overview
In my Motion Graphics class, I needed to choose a New York Times Bestseller that did NOT already have any show or movie tied to it. Then, I was tasked with storyboarding, asset managing, editing, and animating a TV intro for that book.
Approach & Deliverables
“The Body Keeps The Score” is a book written by Bessel van der Kolk, M.D. In it, he explores how trauma reshapes both the brain and body, often lingering in physical sensations, emotional patterns, and behavior long after the traumatic event has passed. The book combines neuroscience, psychology, and patient stories to explain how trauma works and later outlines therapeutic approaches that help people regain a sense of safety, control, and connection. For my video, I chose to interpret the aesthetic as if it were a docu-series, narrated by Bessel van der Kolk, M.D., that would explore various case studies through interviews and looks into peoples lives. The tone was emotional, impactful, and human.
